United Way - Lower Mainland

Public Policy Institute

Enrolment for the 2013 Public Policy Institute is now closed. If you have any inquiries, please contact Yves Trudel at United Way of the Lower Mainland at ppi@uwlm.ca

Building on the success of the 2011 and 2012 edition, the United Way Public Policy Institute is offered again for 2013.

Between January and June 2013, we will bring together another group of 25 leaders from the BC non-profit sector whose organizations want to better understand and influence the public policy process. Enrollment is open to organizations involved in social or health related services from all regions of the province.

Selected organizations will delegate their representative to attend monthly two-day sessions. Sessions will explore such topics as evidence, policy options, engagement and implementation & evaluation.

Mike Harcourt, former premier of British Columbia, is returning in 2013 as Lead Faculty for the third time. Most of the 2012 Faculty are also returning.

For more information, please contact Yves Trudel at United Way of the Lower Mainland at ppi@uwlm.ca

The United Way Public Policy Institute is modeled on similar successful training programs offered by the Maytree Foundation in Ontario and the Max Bell Foundation in Alberta.
