United Way internal workplace campaign shows the way with $72,221.31 raised
- August 10th, 2012
United Way of the Lower Mainland staff have set an inspiring example for other workplace campaigns in the Lower Mainland, raising a phenomenal $72,221.31 during their 2012 internal workplace campaign.
Six teams from United Way of the Lower Mainland slugged it out for prizes and bragging rights as the winning team, and while it was all a lot of rowdy and extremely competitive fun, the underlying objective was clear: to signal their belief in the work done by United Way in preventing poverty, bullying and isolation, and setting a standard for this year’s United Way 2012 Workplace Campaign, which launches September 6th.
This year’s Workplace campaign will kick off with an event at the Jack Poole Plaza, celebrating everyone’s love of community and including lots of onsite activities and food and most importantly, a challenge to Lower Mainlanders to help the United Way reach their fundraising goal of $ 29,555,000.
Check out our photos from our three fun-filled days of activities.
