Labour Campaign Breakfast celebrates CLC/United Way partnership

The 14th Annual Labour Campaign Breakfast helped members of the Labour community kick off their annual fundraising activities. Speakers included United Way Campaign Labour Committee co-chair Sister Irene Lanzinger, Secretary Treasurer of the B.C. Federation of Labour who brought greetings from 450,000 members of her organization and pledged full support for United Way’s 2012 fundraising campaign.

Other speakers included Brother George Davison, Secretary Treasurer of the Federation of Post Secondary Educators of B.C; United Way of the Lower Mainland Board member United Way 2012 Campaign Co-chairs Jamie Pitblado, Vice President, Promotions & Community Investment, Vancouver Sun & The Province and Loring Phinney, Vice President, Corporate Marketing Bell Canada; and special guest speaker, a longtime friend of United Way, Sister Michelle Laurie, President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 258 and United Way Centraide Canada Board member for Labour.
