This year’s Cabinet Kick-Off/Day of Caring event was designed to give United Way’s incoming 2012 Cabinet members insight into how United Way and its donors contribute to the community, and to make a real impact themselves.
Representatives from two of United Way of the Lower Mainland’s community partners - Surrey’s Options Community Services and MOSAIC immigrant services – have helped unite a Kenyan refugee living in Canada with her young daughter after almost 4 years apart.
